Here's a girl to get you started on a gray or black breeding program. Blaeberry, named for the dark berries growing wild in Scotland, is a dark beauty with just the right combination of gray/black color genetics and light/Accoyo high-end fiber genetics to create a breeding program around black and gray. She is a product of our outstanding multiple blue and banner winning MSG herdsire, Casanova's Peruvian Crown Prince, and Highland Bracken, a modern rose gray female out of a silver gray dam, in addition to the Royal Fawn and Accoyo Yupanqui in her background. Blaeberry carries high frequency crimp with great density and coverage. Her AFD of 21.7 puts her in a good position to be bred to either black or gray. With that in mind, we chose our true black multiple champion herdsire MFI Peruvian Georgetown for her first breeding. In July 2012, Blaeberry produced a true black male with solid conformation, coverage, and a good start on beautiful black fiber.
To test her rich color background, we have bred Blaeberry to our Accoyo Principe Dorato. Prince has over 14 banner winning offspring to his credit, including the 2012 AOBA Fawn Male Champion. He has already produced black and gray, so we are expecting a kick-butt dark half Accoyo cria out of this pairing.
To move her up on your purchase list, we will provide another breeding in 2013! That's all of your breeding fees taken care of until 2014...to males who are champions and producing champions of their own!
