Don't overlook this female because of the price. Tempo is a rock solid dam who delivers a cria each year, has plenty of milk, and the combination of black, gray and light fawn genetics that many breeders prefer in their black females. Her first cria was Allegro, a blue ribbon winner and now an excellent mother herself. Tempo has also thrown black and gray cria when bred to black and gray herdsires. She is now bred to Ferrari's Accoyo Enzo, our Accoyo herdsire who is doing a fabulous job of producing colored offspring from dark dams. In fact, every time he has been bred to a female darker than medium fawn, he has thrown a cria darker than the dam...even black and gray. We think there is an excellent chance of a black or gray cria out of this pairing. Even better, Enzo adds his fineness, staple length, and crimp expression to his cria. UPDATE: Enzo did it again. Tempo delivered a half Accoyo bay black male cria. This boy has the stature and fiber of his sire and the rich dark color of his dam. He is included in Tempo's sale price.
