We have a pretty solid herdsire line-up for color and genetic diversity. What we needed was a top quality Peruvian black male who was breeding, or at least just about ready to jump into the line-up. We looked, but couldn't find the right combination of exceptional fleece characteristics, superior show record, and solid genetics. That was before I laid my eyes on MFI Georgetown at the Futurity auction in 2009. When the auctioneer actually said "SOLD" and pointed in my direction, I knew our partnership had just made a major step in acquiring the services of a black male that would make a major impact on all of our herds. Georgetown brings to a breeding wonderful fineness, consistent crimp, impressive bone density, impeccable conformation.....can you tell I REALLY like this guy? Amanda VandenBosch REALLY liked him too and awarded him the Color Champion Banner at the Level V Empire Extravaganza. She couldn't stop complimenting him on his size, soft fiber, consistent crimp and tremendous macho look.
With Black Mesquuite, Quetzal, Timoteo, Accoyo Augusto, and 4P Matador on his ARI,he is the product of proven outstanding producers. Georgetown is a big, strong macho, but a gentleman breeder that's easy to handle. His first cria have arrived...two blacks out of fawn dams, and three blacks out of black dams! Georgetown now has his first Blue Ribbon offspring: Georgetown's Blaze of Glory. Amanda VandenBosch couldn't stop talking about his fabulous fineness, staple length, and density. Blaze followed up his blue in TN with another blue ribbon at the Best of the U.S.
UPDATE: Georgetown now has THREE blue ribbon winners...and a Reserve Color Champ... and several other award winners. All of these cria demonstrate Georgetown's ability to put excellent character on a long staple length. Stunning heads and great bone density seem to be another Georgetown production.
OWNERSHIP OPPORTUNITY
An opportunity to own a 50% interest in this stunning herdsire is available. If your breeding season is May-November, you will have about fourteen weeks (not necessarily consecutive) to use Georgetown. Since the remainder of the partners are PA farms, if your breeding season is from late November-April, you will have exclusive use of him as long as the partnership remains the same. Great opportunity, great price. This guy is consistently producing show quality offspring . Check out Annadele's Agatha. Georgetown's Blaze of Glory, and contact us for more details.
